Nintendo raises projected sales from 10m to 14m.
Nintendo has just released its latest financial report for its 2nd quarter results and it’s given us an update on how well Nintendo is doing, the Switch and games as well.
There are now 7.63 million Switch units sold, Nintendo has now also increased its projection of sales for the Switch to 14 million units (up from 10m). That also means the Switch has already half of what the Wii U sold total in just 8 months.
During the six months ended September 30, 2017, for Nintendo Switch, Splatoon 2 released in July gained popularity both in Japan
and overseas, with 3.61 million units sold globally. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and ARMS also both sold well after their releases in April and
June, respectively. All told, the sales volume for the Nintendo Switch hardware and software during this period came to 4.89 million
units and 22.02 million units respectively.

The Nintendo 3DS is trucking along as well with 1.91m units sold for the quarter, and now 68.98 million lifetime to date.
