It seems the economic crisis isn’t hurting Nintendo’s profits, just as Miyamoto said. With the company posting a Q2 operating profit up 36 percent on the back of strong DS and Wii sales. However, Nintendo has dropped its full-year growth forecast due to the stronger Japanese Yen. On the Wii front Nintendo has raised its 2008/09 sales target by 4 percent ahead of what analysts predict. “”Today’s announcement offers little evidence that the slowing economy is hurting Nintendo’s business,”” Mizuho Securities analyst Takeshi Koyama has said in a report.
