Nintendo’s Parental Controls for Switch are cute and comprehensive

The Nintendo Switch is going to have some of the most comprehensive parental controls for a system yet. They just won’t be on the console itself.

Nintendo instead is released a free ‘Nintendo Switch Parental Controls’ app for smartphones. The app will restrict young (or old) ones to certain games, time limits per day, different limits for different days and keep track of how much kids are playing (and if they’re playing too much).

If things get really bad you can boot the person off the system remotely. The parental controls however apply to the entire system and not accounts. So don’t limit it that much that you can’t get on and play yourself.

We’d explain more, but we’ll let Bowser and Bowser Jr. do it in this great video;
