Nintendo’s first ever Super Bowl ad is for the Switch and Breath of the Wild

It's very well put together.

Nintendo of America has announced that for the first time ever, they will run a ad during the Super Bowl.

There’s two versions of advert, a 30 second spot and a 90 second spot. Both versions include a brand new song ‘Believer’ by the band Imagine Dragons, the song itself is only a couple days old.

The advert will run during the fourth quarter of the game and shows the Switch being used exactly how you think it should. While Breath of the Wild is the focus on the short advert, the longer one contains Mario Kart 8, Splatoon 2, Just Dance and 1-2 Switch.

“The most anticipated video game system and video game of the year will be seen on the biggest stage of the year,” said Nicolas Chavez, Nintendo of America’s Vice President of Marketing. “Nintendo Switch will change how, when and where people play games. It’s only fitting that we’re changing how, when and where we advertise those games.”
