Nintendo Wii now on sale in the USA

The Wii has now launched in the US and now all the next generation consoles are out. The Wii launch was much more subdued than the PS3 launch however. The Wii launches had long lines and plenty of Wii units to go around, with many stores reporting a total sellout. In Times Square New York, there was a line of over 1000 people lined up for the midnight Toys R Us launch, with Reggie handing out the first Wii to a Isaiah “”Triforce”” Johnson, a man who changed his middle name to show his devotion to Nintendo.

Over in Hollywood a similar length line was also reported, and even with all these Wii consoles some of them are still fetching $600US dollars on eBay.
