Nintendo Wants Your eShop Money, And They’re Prepared To Pay For It

Nintendo Japan has just launched a new promotion which seems just a little desperate. In the end though, you win.

If you load up your Japanese Wii U eShop account right now with either 5000 Yen ($55AUD) or 10,000 ($110AUD) Yen then Nintendo will give you 10% extra credit. You don’t have to spend the money right now, but they do want you to load up your account. The promotion runs from June 26th until July 10th only and is at this stage only for Japan.

Would you load up your eShop account with $50 right now for an extra $5?

Yes. I am not going to Wii-Transfer my VC games so am prepared to double-dip on a few titles. I would probably prefer to put a lump sum of $50 and get a bit of a reward, rather than dole out piecemeal and end up spending upwards of that amount.

Seeing that there’s like 2 (!!!!) games coming out in the next 6 weeks I like, yep.
