Nintendo updates million sellers list, release dates for Q1 titles

Along with updating us on their financials, Nintendo have also updated their million sellers list and refreshed their release calendar. This calendar of course doesn’t contain everything Nintendo is going to release early next year but it’s a start.

There’s two new games in the million seller list, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Delivery despite only just being released has vaulted to 2.02 million, that’s 1.17 million in Japan and 850,000 everywhere else. Super Mario Maker has done will too with 1.88 million copies sold, 390,00 of those are in Japan, 1.5 million everywhere else in the world.

There’s also an update to the top sellers for each console, none of the above games have cracked the top ten yet but its good see things like Luigi’s Mansion 2 is doing well on 4.61 million.

  2. Mario Kart 7 – 12.19 million
  3. Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire – 10.69 million
  4. Super Mario 3D Land – 10.21 million
  5. New Super Mario Bros. 2 – 9.47 million
  6. Animal Crossing: New Leaf – 9.44 million
  7. Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS – 7.37 million
  8. Luigi’s Mansion 2- 4.61 million
  9. Tomodachi Life – 4.48 million
  10. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D – 3.82 million

Wii U

  1. Mario Kart 8 – 5.87 million
  2. Nintendo Land – 5.00 million
  3. New Super Mario Bros. U – 4.88 million
  4. Super Mario 3D World – 4.47 million
  5. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U – 4.03 million
  6. Splatoon – 2.42 million
  7. New Super Luigi U – 2.27 million
  8. Super Mario Maker – 1.88 million
  9. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD – 1.62 million
  10. Wii Party U – 1.58 million

As for the releases, here’s the list. You’ll notice a new resident in Star Fox Zero and not much else. There’s still Dr Kawashima’s Devilish Brain Training: Can You Stay Focused? on the list, we know you’re all looking forward to it.
