Nintendo hasn’t seen fit to update the DSi’s firmware in over a year, until today. Instead of getting some visible updates or additions to the console this update seemingly just contains “behind-the-scenes improvements” to the console. Apparently these improvements help system performance. Whatever that means.
Most likely, like in the update before it, Nintendo has added some new blocks to stop those pesky pesky flash cards that have been causing them some big troubles over the last few years. You know the ones we’re talking about.
Apart from the ability to upload pictures directly to Facebook the DSi has had no new features or additions added to it post release. We suspect all the grand ideas have gone in the to 3DS.
This update comes just a couple of weeks before Pokemon Black and White as well, funny that.
UPDATE: Nintendo has also updated the Wiis Firmware, youll need it to get back onto the Wii Shopping Channel but it also removes Homebrew and other hacks.
STALKER, Clock Tower, Shadows of the Damned, and more.
Wii Music has been replaced
