Oddly, the trademark was filed in English even though it was registered in Japan. Could this be pointing to a new international release?

Gaming blog Siliconera has found an intriguing new trademark Nintendo has registered in Japan. Listed as "THE LAST STORY", it doesnt appear to be referring to any game we already know about. Somewhat strange is the fact that it was actually listed in English. Nintendo usually only trademarks titles with Japanese names in their home country, but have been known to register some English titles if they are planned for a Western release, like Glory of Heracles earlier this year.

What do you think this title could be for? Discuss in the comments section below or on the forum.
