Game patches via the internet? Never! Send it in the post instead

Shortly after its release, it was discovered that Metroid Other M had a game breaking bug. It doesnt cause a crash or anything nefarious but instead prevents you from getting any further then the Sector 3 area of the game. It doesnt happen to everyone but if it does, youre stuffed.

However Nintendo Japan have a fix and unlike our new age HD console cousins you wont be able to just update or patch the game over the internet. Japanese customers will have to send their entire Wii or a SD card with the save file on it to Nintendos Service Centre.

There is no word yet if other Nintendo branches will take the steps the Japanese have, but if they do well let you know.

Nintendo did apologise in a nicely worded press release, you cant be too angry right?
