Nintendo is appealing a ban on sales of its Wii Classic, WaveBird and GameCube Controllers in the US. The ban is the result of a patent infringement lawsuit relating to game controllers brought by US company Anascape on Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft. Sales of both the Wii-Remote and Nunchuk are unaffected, as are sales in countries outside the US. Nintendo can continue selling the controllers until the appeal has been heard, but has been required to post a bond in an escrow account to avoid the ban. Sony and Microsoft previously settled differences with Anascape to avoid similar problems. Source: Eurogamer
