Nintendo Testing Photo Attachments in Miiverse

It appears that Nintendo are currently testing a new feature of Miiverse which may allow users to attach photos to their Miiverse posts.

Earlier today, NintendoTom made a photo post, and mentioned that the feature isn’t available to everyone yet, however it seems it might become available to all users in the future.

This could be a particularly exciting feature, and really add an extra element of sharing to the Miiverse community. It is surprising though for Nintendo to be testing out a feature like this, as it seems it could easily be abused, and Nintendo very much value their family friendly image. We imagine Nintendo’s Miiverse moderation team will have their work cut out for them!

Can you see yourself using a photo sharing feature in Miiverse?

Yeah, I use Miiverse daily on my phone, so I would definitely like to have this ability, although I’m not sure what I’d post. The ability to share screen shots in-game is more appropriate for this form of social networking imo.

It’s too soon. Miiverse can’t support this because it’s too open. If they are able to make miiverse more personalised and private like Facebook or even Twitter, then maybe.. But not yet.

I imagine posts with photos wont go public until after the mod team has looked at them. Far too much potential for non-kiddy shenanigans otherwise.
