The game is out this ‘winter’ aka June.

Metroid Prime: Federation Force was not received well when it was shown off at last year’s E3 – in fact most people hated it. Nintendo know this and during today’s Nintendo Direct took the chance to explain the game some more and hopefully calm the nerves of fans.

New details about the game were revealed including the story of its development. It’s been in development since 2009 in one or another and originally started out on the Nintendo DSi. However when the New 3DS was revealed they finally thought about releasing the game because of the C-Stick and the added power. It is not a New 3DS exclusive however.

The game is also described as having a class based system, you have a different role in the game depending on your colour. You can be a healer, or just a straight out soldier. It will of course have full online support.

The game is out in our ‘winter’ which should mean around June or July. For now here’s an updated trailer.
