Keen to get an extra dock for your Nintendo Switch? You won’t have to wait much longer.
Nintendo Australia has announced that Nintendo Switch Dock Set will launch in Australia on May 26th for $129.95AUD. The set contains another Nintendo Switch dock, AC Adapter and a HDMI cable. The dock set will be available from retail stores.
If you take away the RRP of the AC Adapter and a HDMI cable it still makes the extra dock a bit pricey, but if you need one this is a better option than buying another Switch!

Going by retail prices, if you want the dock as well an extra set of joycons, that’s over half the price of the Switch unit itself.
You’d have to give it a bit of thought as to whether having another tablet is worth $220 – definitely nicer to have 4 player mobile MK8 across two screens (though then you also need to buy another copy of the game).
This is stupidly priced, but I reckon it will (eventually) be heavily discounted by EB during one of their many sales.
As already said, a ridiculous price. Is there anything stopping cheap chinese rip-offs from being released?
Nintendo has the logic controller patented. Standard USB-C cable to HDMI don’t work on the switch. So for now at least, we’re stuck with the insanely over-priced OEM unit.
