The Nintendo Switch and Breath of the Wild for it demoed on Jimmy Fallon

The Nintendo Switch just made its first public appearance on late night show Jimmy Fallon. Not only that we got to see The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild running on it for the very first time. Both docked and portable!

Not only did Reggie join the show to show off the Switch but also Super Mario Run. The entire segment is included (Switch is at 4:30), below and there’s also a segment where Shigeru Miyamoto plays with the shows band the Super Mario Bros. theme.

Once we’ve poured over the video 1000 times we’ll have some more analysis about just what we saw.

Very smart approach to marketing, having Jimmy Fallon go wild is going to be all over YouTube and Twitter for a good while. I hope they do the rounds and get the word out

And not a kid in sight too! Come on Nintendo, if the batterylife is decent on the go then you may have a killer on your hands…

I think from a performance perspective, it’s cool to note that the Switch gameplay demoed appeared to be a locked 30fps, unlike the Wii U version which dips on occasion.

Great marketing for the Switch, I’m getting good vibes (Wii like) from the moves Nintendo have been making lately
