My Nintendo Store opens this month in Japan with customisable Switch colour options
The next evolution of My Nintendo is set to begin in Japan later this month. This January 23rd, Nintendo will opening the ‘My Nintendo Store’. It’s the new name for Nintendo’s online store and you guessed it you’ll need a Nintendo Account to buy from it.
The store will offer a range of Nintendo products with some products being exclusive to the Nintendo. The purchases from the store will also give you Gold My Nintendo coins as a reward as well, something we haven’t seen since the NES Mini.
The most interesting thing though is that you’ll be able to purchase your Switch in whatever colour configuration you like. Want all blue? Want all red? Want different coloured Joy-Con Straps on each one? You can do it!
The colour customisation goes further too with Neon Red and Neon Blue carry cases only available through the store as well.
The store opens on January 23rd in Japan, if you buy a Switch and a game you’ll get a calendar as a thank you bonus.
No word yet if the store will open here in Australia or anywhere else in the world for that matter.
