On Sunday the 23rd of January, youre invited to attend the Nintendo Experience at EB Games in Melbourne to show off your skills at Wii Sports Tennis as well as the upcoming Mario Sports Mix for Wii. Theres an under- and over-12 years old division with prizes to be given away for the winners of each.

The event will herald the imminent release of Mario Sports Mix for Wii – a collection of arcade-style but challenging sports games that includes Basketball, Hockey, Dodgeball and Volleyball.

Heres the skinny from Nintendo:

To celebrate the release of Mario Sports Mix on Wii and Nintendos involvement with the 2011 Australian Open, Nintendo invites everyone to come along and play Mario Sports Mix before release, and to participate in the 2011 Wii Sports Tennis Tournament.

Mario himself will be making special appearances throughout the day, and there will be plenty of give-aways, as well as some fantastic prizes for the winners of the tournament. Mario Sports Mix will arrive on Wii from 27 January 2011, with four sports for the whole family to enjoy! Players can jump into games of hockey, basketball, volleyball or dodgeball, all with that special Mario twist. Mario Sports Mix will be playable during the hours of the tournament, giving fans the chance to enjoy the game before its release.

Youll also have the chance to show off your Wii Tennis skills in the 2011 Wii Sports Tennis Tournament.

There will be two separate tournaments – One for those aged 12 and under, and one for those aged 13 and over. Anyone can play, so come along and have some fun!
