NES Mini stock went down on flight Oceanic 815 however.
Nintendo has revealed that it used air freight in order to restock American and European stores with Switch consoles in March. It’s an unusual move for Nintendo and a costly one who normally would send stock via the slower and less expensive sea freight.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, a Nintendo spokesman said “We carried some of the Switches by plane in March to serve our customers more promptly”.
Despite the more expensive air freight Nintendo has still had problems keeping the Switch in stock in some countries. Who knows how much worse it would have been if they hadn’t shipped them via air.
