It’s now 12 days until the United States gets their hands on the Wii U, well the general public at least as it appears the gaming media have received their review units today. Earlier this morning Rich from IGN Tweeted some images of the system they received along with the some of stipulations they have from Nintendo.

According to IGN the system will require a patch on day one as the UI and Operating system isn’t either complete or not entirely working just yet. Don’t worry this happened with the Nintendo 3DS as well. These Wii U units have to sit in a warehouse after being made and Nintendo will no doubt be working on the software right up until release day. The patch will add Miiverse, Wii U Chat , Nintendo TVii and the eShop.

On the game side of things Game Informer got their hands on Rabbid’s Land for the Wii U as well and opened it up for the world to see. Very game like.

In news closer to home it looks like the exact same box has been showing up in stores here in Australia. We thought you might to see the list of things included in the Premium Set.
