There’s not long to this year’s trailer filled marketing ploy The Game Awards 2016, on December 1 probably the most well put together award show will honour the year in gaming. There will also be trailers, probably most of them in CG.

Despite having an average year Nintendo is well represented in many categories, including in the mobile / handheld one having games now in both pools. How long until they split up that category by the way?

Here’s the nominees (Nintendo bolded).

Fantastic that Project AM2R and Pokemon Uranium are recognised. Terrific games well deserving of praise. Shame that Nintendo didn’t find a way to use them to promote their games, especially with Project AM2R. It introduced to me game I never would have played and made Metroid Zero an impulse buy after all the fun I had.
