Nintendo releases video showing Wii U’s April speed update

It nearly April and you know what that means; the promised speed update to the Wii U is almost here. This first of two updates announced will speed up the time it takes to get back to the Wii U menu from a game or app.

It now takes about 6 seconds to get back to the Wii U menu as opposed to more than 20. Nintendo have released a video showing how it works.

This Wii U speed video is impressive, but we hope Nintendo are still focusing on what makes the system slower in other parts, the downloading, apps opening, installing, updating and more. It’s a start.
