Nintendo delivered its full-year financial report this afternoon and afterwards held a small press conference.

Japanese news source Nikkei is reporting that at the conference Iwata told investors he feels responsible for the poor business performance by Nintendo and is sorry to all shareholders.

Iwata says at this stage the most important thing is to get Nintendo’s business back on track as soon as possible. Since he feels responsible he will not resign and will stay in office in order to see Nintendo get back on track.

I think personally Nintendo have been ignoring the advancement of technology. Their games are always fun but people these days want more from Consoles than just games. Nintendo have to get this fact straight and instead of making video game consoles they should make home entertainment consoles which offer more than just games. Miiverse is a good step in the right direction but the eshop still needs some work and the model for online play is atrocious. Nintendo you need to acknowledge these issues and fix them that way you will survive and thrive.
