Nintendo Points not interchangeable between Wii and DS points

With the DSi on the horizon, bringing with it DSWare, Nintendo needed a way to sell it. Just like the Wii with Wii Points, the DSi will have DSi Points – and to encompass this, nintendo will be introducing Nintendo Points cards. Same principle and now the same card – but will you be able to transfer points between the Wii and DS? Unfortunately, no. More inside Because of the odd pricing of WiiWare and virtual console titles, you always seem to have some points left over – so being able to transfer the left-overs from system to system would have been a welcome addition. This also means that if you’ve racked up your credit card bill buying Wii Points in anticipation for DSWare… well, you’re going to be a little unhappy.
