Nintendo’s initiative to get Wii’s online has been around for a while in Japan; previously, if you helped fellow Wii owners get online you would get 500 Wii Points. You were able to do this 20 times for a maximum of 10,000 free Wii Points. But Nintendo has upped the ante because, as of October 21, a new plan starts.
Help 10 people get their Wii online and you’ll be given full and unlimited access to every Famicon (NES) game on the Wii Shopping Channel. But wait, there’s more, help 20 people get online and you’ll be able to download every single game from the Japanese Virtual Console. That’s right, all 487 games currently available could be played for free by people who acheive this status!
This crazy crazy deal is only available in Japan, but we’d love to help people get their Wii systems online here, too.
More details on this promotion will be revealed at a later date by Nintendo.
Thanks to semiregular from NeoGAF for the clarification on the Helper 20 status.
