Nintendo offering Switch bundle without a dock in Japan

Encouraging you to share your dock (and AC adapter).

Nintendo’s made it clear they want the Switch to go from one per household to one per person and now they’ve started their first attempt at this.

For sale on their Japanese store, you can now buy a Nintendo Switch without the dock. The page suggests you might want one without a dock (and to use your families existing dock) because the one Switch in your house is being used by someone else or you want to play multiplayer with a brother.

The difference in price is 5000Yen ($60AU) which isn’t that much cheaper, but the Switch itself is already cheaper in Japan than here. In the new SKU, you’ll get a Switch, two Joy-Con and Joy-Con straps. No dock or AC adapter is included, they’re encouraging people and families to share the dock.

Would you buy a Switch without a dock and AC adapter to have another one in the house? Let us know in the comments.
