Nintendo mass releasing Super Famicom games on Japanese Virtual Console for system’s 26th Birthday
Nintendo has just announced it is dropping seven new Super Famicom games on the New 3DS Virtual Console in Japan, and they’re doing 6 more next week. Why? To celebrate the 26th anniversary of the console in Japan.
These aren’t just some filler games either, there’s a bunch of heavy hitters here and hopefully it means the 16-bit JRPG floodgates may soon be upon us. And by us I mean Japan.
This week’s games Super Punch-Out UU, Rockman X 3, Final Fight 2, Final Fight Tough, Romancing Saga, Super Castlevania IV and Tactics Ogre. Next weeks games will be revealed… next week.
All of these games are only for the New Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console. Chance of coming west? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
