Nintendo have been acquiring a series of “Advance” related trademarks in Japan but the reason why is unclear.
Nintendo has picked up the trademark for the terms Advance, Advance Push and Advance Series.
Like any trademark acquisition by a game company, it could very well mean nothing at all. Nintendo could just be acquiring the trademarks to prevent other companies from using the terms.
That doesn’t stop us speculating about the possibilities though!
Could it signal a commitment on Nintendo’s part to the recently started GameBoy Advance Virtual Console releases, or even new software to play on GameBoy Advance hardware?
What do you think? Feel free to speculate and discuss in the comments!
