Nintendo has begun to ship dev kits for the NX, launches new dev portal

It's happening...

Tonight the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Nintendo has begun to send out software kits to developers for the NX.

Details don’t include at all how the system looks but sources tell the WSK that the system include will likely include both a console and at least one mobile unit. That’s mobile as in portable, not mobile phone.

This portable unit would be able to be used with the console or also on the road.

The sources also said that Nintendo will be aiming to put ‘industry leading chips’ into the NX ‘devices’. Especially after criticism that the Wii U’s capabilities weren’t up to competitors.

It could be easy to doubt this news and some of it may be incorrect – but Nintendo also just announced a new developer portal. It’s previous and ancient looking one WarioWario.com seemingly now not the place to become a Nintendo developer it would appear.
