Nintendo extends bug bounty program to the Switch

Nintendo is extending its vulnerability reward program on the site HackerOne to the Nintendo Switch. Last year the offered the program to the Nintendo 3DS and have since paid out of some bugs.
The idea is that hackers and modders can be rewarded for finding bugs and vulnerabilities within the systems for Nintendo fix – instead of just putting them on the internet.
Nintendo’s never going to get everyone on board, nor are they ever going to be able to squash every single exploit – even with people’s help. The Switch so far hasn’t had a serious security issue, the WebKit vulnerability in the system’s browser is probably the most high profile.
