The DSi LL will be dubbed the DS XL in Europe when it gets released next year

Nintendo Europe has followed up on the recent announcement of the DSi LL saying that it will be released in Europe Q1 next year and be known as the DSi XL.

The price of the unit will be more expensive then a normal DSi due to the bigger screens and more materials involved in making it. No pricing or colours for Europe have been announced at this stage, but Nintendo says they will have more details soon.

The DSi LL (XL) is the Nintendo DSi with huge 4.2 screens, a bigger footprint and a bigger stylus and is aimed at the elderly and sight impaired who may have issues with the current size DSi screens.

No Australian release has been announced yet at this stage.
