Includes modern classics like Farming Simulator 2012 3D and Majesco’s Pet Zombies.
A tonne of Virtual Console releases a getting dated all up in here and unlike most Nintendo dates, you can be pretty sure they’ll translate pretty closely across regions. Eschewing fancier writing, I shall place these into a list for your reading pleasure and convenience.
3DS – Platform in brackets indicates Virtual Console release
March 1 – Punch-Out! (NES) and Super Mario Bros (NES)
March 2012 – Dr Mario (GB) and Fun! Fun! Minigolf TOUCH!
April 2012 – 3D Solitaire and SpeedThru: Potzol’s Puzzle
Q2 2012: Toki Tori (GB), Colours! 3D, Mutant Mudds, Picross e, Marvel Pinball 3D, Art of Balance TOUCH!
Wii
March 2012 – Mega Man X (SNES)
April 2012 – Metal Slug 3 (Neo Geo?) and La-Mulana
Additionally, our list of European releases also reveals the rough timetable of weird boxed games for the 3DS. Farming Simulator 2012 3D, the sequel to everyone’s favourite QL is set to land on the 29th of March, while the presumably best version of BATTLESHIP the videogame will hit in April, alongside the film. Two screens and 3D should do a decent job at replicating the boardgame? Majesco’s irresponsible educational title Pet Zombie is misinforming our kids in April, while Super Black Bass 3D should cater to any wobble bass enthusiasts who also own a 3DS in Q2. Although it might be a bit racist, so I’d watch out for that.
Australian dates are less likely to be accurate on the bad boxed games, but you’re also less likely to buy them. Glad to be reminded La-Mulana is making its way to Wiiware though, game’s a classic.
