The Nintendo eShop is launching in more European countries next month

Bet you didn't even know Latvia didn't have it.

While we’re blessed, or cursed depending on what your opinion is, with our own eShop for our region some countries go without. From December 10th the following countries gamer’s will be able to buy games on the eShop. They are Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary and Romania.

Naturally people in these countries could just lie and say they lived in the UK or Germany ( you know like some of us do) but now they can feel free to set their region to their own country.

This is also a boon for indies who can now Target these markets. We do wonder if the IARC rating system allegedly coming into effect may have sped this up – we can’t imagine how much it would cost to rate a game in those countries.
