The DSi is proving to be selling just as briskly as its predecessor, even though its more expensive

Nintendo Australia has revealed that the Nintendo DS has sold through 100,000 units in only 14 weeks. Nintendo had previously   revealed that the system sold 30,000 in its first ten days. That means in just less than three months from launch it’s sold 70,000 units keeping a nice steady pace.

With the higher price over the DS Lite and the current world economic climate this is great news for Nintendo, we do wonder how well the DS Lite is selling in comparison.

This means the Nintendo DS is ever closer to reaching the two million sales mark (it was 1.9 million back in April with the initial DSi figures included). Remember till October you’ll be able to get a 1000 free DSi Ware points.
