The Japanese sell-through of the existing Nintendo DS hardware exceeded 5 million within 13 months, which made Nintendo DS the fastest-selling video game system there.

UPDATE: We have contacted Nintendo Australia and the DSlite will indeed be coming here, however a Price and date have not been confirmed.

UPDATE: Several New “”Rumours”” have surfaced regarding the feature set of DSlite here are some of the highlights.
– Colours will be Black / White / Pink
– Pictochat over WFC
– Downloads of DS Demo’s through WFC, with the ability to store 10
– AC Adapter remains the same as GBASP/DS MK1
– Tetris to launch on same day as Japanese date
UPDATE:Looks like the above rumours are not true, with one Nintendo staffer revealing its exactly the same hardware inside all thats been changed is the cosmetics of it. However there has been a cover for the GBA slot added.
