Nintendo Download Updates: TNT Odyssey
The last few weeks on the eShop have been huge with several big name titles being released for both the 3DS and the Wii U. This week it’s a little more low key but there are still a couple of games that might take your fancy.
Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan arrives earlier than expected, it’s full price and you might be able to find it in stores for cheaper. Then again it is likely to receive a small print run so you might not be able to find it at all. Secondly, arriving in the country finally on a delayed flight, Disney Planes is not only on the 3DS but also the Wii U as well. Capping out the new 3DS games this week is the PC classic Myst, I swear I’ll play that one day.
The Wii U only has a couple of games this week, Breath of Fire II arrives for the Virtual Console. If you’re a RPG fan you’ve probably already bought it before even reading this. The original game of the week is TNT Racers, it’s a top down Micromachines-esque isometric racer with weapons. It was originally on WiiWare but has been brought to the HD world again. Looks interesting we should have a review soon.

For anyone interested, I preordered Etrian Odyssey 4 from EB games and it (surprisingly) was only $44.95. Same price with Shin Megami Tensei Soul Hackers. Not a bad price for a couple of games I didn’t even think would get an Aussie release!
Does anyone know if breath of fire 2 is any good?
I’ve played Breath of Fire II and can honestly recommend it to any RPG fan.
The gameplay is similar to the old Final Fantasy games, it’s not anything different but solid. The graphics are a bit simplistic for the SNES era, however the in-depth story makes up for it. The story is long, but that’s because there’s a lot of character development to get through. There are eight playable characters and each character has a sub-story which is part of the main story.
Personally I enjoyed Breath of Fire I more, but that could just be because I played I first. I’d be interested to know why they released II before I on the Wii U.
