Nintendo Download Updates (8/1) – Short and sweet
There’s not much to really talk about this week. The Wii U has Dig Dug and Lode Runner coming to Virtual Console, and Chariot from Frima Studio hitting the download titles. Otherwise, there’s a flurry of great indie games on sale, including Cubemen 2 from local studios 3 Sprockets and Nnooo.
The 3DS doesn’t have any games this week, but 3 new themes at least! Otherwise, EDGE is on sale, and we’re totally missing out on a bunch of games that Europe gets – but hey what else is new.
That’s it!

i’m going to spend my last $7 nintendo credit on dig dug. i spent a lot of hours just drilling tunnels on the 2600 version.. i look forward to seeing how the NES compares
Is Australia getting Crunchyroll too? o.O
Crunchyroll?! that’s awesome!
Another week, another not-getting-the-Persona-Q-theme-for-3DS. Sigh.
Still no Scram Kitty or Armillo or Wooden Sen’sey. Will we ever get them?
At least Affordable Space Adventures and Gunman Clive 2 have been rated by the Australian Censorship Board.
If you want to buy UK games on your Wii U, all you have to do is;
1. Change your country’s settings to United Kingdom.
2. Create a new user account on your Wii U.
From there, there’s mixed reviews about how to buy games. Personally, I use a Debit Mastercard to buy them, but I hear some people aren’t able to use their cards (credit or otherwise) at all. If this happens, I’d suggest buying UK’s eShop cards.
Benefits:
-Since it’s console-locked, any game you buy is available on either AU or UK user account. (Which let’s you post as having it on your Miiverse, post screenshots if the game lets you, etc)
Cons
-Don’t go overboard with this if you have games on both, since there’s no guarantee to be able to transfer all your games (or accounts) to the next console.
-If you’ve already tied your 3DS to your Wii U, you cannot alter your region for your 3DS anymore. (Since I haven’t done this, I can’t tell you if my Shantae or Mighty Switch Force games will become unavailable fr me to play.)
PS. Scram Kitty is okay. More interesting than that ninja rabbit game though. Wish we’d get Xeodrifter sometime soon.
