Nintendo Download Updates (16/5) Super Super Super Update
The eShop continues to deliver in spades, this week is no exception with a ton of great new titles, Virtual Console titles and discounts to get your weekend started.
Doing these updates in the dark days of WiiWare and DSiWare were really depressing, now look at the list of games below!
The big title with the smallest price is Super Metroid for the Virtual Console on Wii U. It’s part of the 30c promotion and you need to have this game on your Wii U. It’s well worth the $10 Nintendo will be asking for it, but 30c makes it a no brainer.
The Virtual Console fun though doesn’t stop there with two more ‘Super’ games being released as well. The gender bending fun of Super Mario Bros. 2 and the brutal gameplay of Super Ghouls’n Ghosts are up for your consideration.
Tekken Tag 2 sees a massive discount on the retail side of things and Runner 2 might be out here in Australia, it was meant to be when the next sale kicked in… which is this week in Europe.
The big hit on the 3DS this week is the first game from the Guild02 series of games. The Starship Damrey starts you off with no memory, no tutorial or hand holding . You have to figure out what is happening on the ship.
Well then, anything for you?
Resident Evil Revelations Demo (Capcom, available 14/5) – Free
Super Mario Bros. 2 (Nintendo, NES VC) – $6.50
Super Ghouls’n Ghosts (Capcom, SNES VC) – $10.40
Super Metroid (Nintendo, SNES VC) – $0.30c until June 14 then $10.40
Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition (Namco Bandai) — $49.95– Permanent Price Drop from $74.95
The Starship Damrey (Level-5) – $10.40
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity (Nintendo) – $69.95
Mega Man 5 (Capcom, NES VC) – $6.50
All Prices are in AUD and accurate at time of writing. The Australian eShop updates every Thursday at 11pm Eastern Daylight Saving Time unless otherwise specified. Some items release at different times.
Drats. Bought Tekken Tag Tournament at launch, didn’t think it’d price drop this soon. Barely had a chance to play it with everything else I’ve been up too, feels like a waste having paid full price now.
Wow I hope Runner 2 comes out in Australia. Good week but bummed about Super Metroid being the PAL version.
glad to be getting the starship damrey this week.
Awesome update – pretty much every game is a cracker! With save states now implemented, I might finally be able to finish Super Ghouls and Ghosts!
The only disappointment is, like Archaic, I too paid full price for Tekken not long ago. It’s well worth 50 bucks if anyone is on the fence about it 🙂
I was lucky. On launch day I only paid $40 for Tekken and $399 for the Wii U.
