The first entry in the legendary kart series finally arrives on the Virtual Console

Thankfully, Nintendo isnt just pushing out filler titles after the Hanabi Festival. Super Mario Kart was the game that started the whole kart racing genre in the early 90s. You wont find blue shells and other extravagant items here, with more simple items making the game much less forgiving. The limit of two players in multiplayer may seem limited compared to the most recent games, but it still manages to be intense. The usual SNES price of 800 Points applies here.

We get the usual two WiiWare titles this time, but at least theyre both above average. Chronos Twins DX is a remake of the DS game where you play both a person in the present and future on each screen. The gameplay appears to have held up well after the conversion, and so for 700 Points (300 less than NA had to pay), its definitely worth a look. Next up is Family Mini Golf, where your (least) favourite family take their putters and hit some balls. Its only 500 Points, but be prepared for the very cute appearance.

Three out of four aint bad, which is what we get out of the Euro DSiWare games. First is Oscar in Movieland, whose release is quite curious. Its the sequel to last years Oscar in Toyland, which we didnt receive; it must have done well enough elsewhere for them to risk a rating. As youd expect, the 7 worlds are based on movie themes this time around, and the game was actually around in the SNES generation. A platformer is always nice, so it seems like a decent deal for 800 Points.

Moving on, Spaceball Revolution is based on the WiiWare version of the same name. Everything makes it on this 500-Point port except mutiplayer. Last is AiRace Tunnel in which you race in a tunnel; yeah, were shocked as well.
