We were waiting anxiously for official confirmation of WarioWare D.I.Y.’s release this week and, sure enough, its WiiWare sidekick has also tagged along in time for the week’s downloads. WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase allows you to upload the microgames you make on the DS version so you (and your friends) can play them on a big screen, and also upload them in contests. At 800 Points, you don’t need the DS game as there are many microgames already built in.
The other game on WiiWare this week is a shoddy port of the DS game Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations. It’s a great game and the 1000-Point price means it’s cheaper than the DS version, but the shortfall comes in the form of a crappy port resulting in phat pixels. Stick with the DS on that one.
Onto DSiWare and we have Ferrari GT: Evolution from Gameloft. It’s a new racing game so we’re not sure how it plays, but Gameloft’s track record (geddit? GEDDIT?!) with racing games on the DSiWare has been pretty neat so far. Last is More Bloody Horowitz, but where was the last Horowitz, you ask? Well it’s actually another chapter in the Flips interactive book series and costs 200 Points.
WiiWare
WarioWare D.I.Y. Showcase (Nintendo) – 800 Points
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations (Capcom) – 1000 Points
DSiWare
Ferrari GT: Evolution (Gameloft) – 800 Points
Flips: More Bloody Horowitz (EA) – 200 Points
Sonic and speed, they just go together
Not ideal.
Finally, some preorder bonuses.
