Nintendo Download Update : Fly with your Face, Ace

Still with us? In the sea of E3 news comes the usual Friday update – its ace.

Ah puns, almost as good as metaphors. Anyway this week, no matter if you’re a Wii or DSi owner, there is something for you. Some old, something new and something – remade. Let’s do this.

Virtual Console

Mario Tennis 64 (N64 – 1000 Points)

Finally, another N64 game for the Virtual Console! Nintendo, we know you’re keen on porting as many 64 games to the 3DS as possible but don’t forgot the VC! Mario Tennis 64 is some of Nintendo and Camelot’s best work. A slightly funky take of the Tennis formula provides plenty of fun. Just in time for Wimbledon.

Blaster Master Overdrive (Sunsoft – 1000 Points)

Another remake of an old classic that’s taken ages to get here. But nether the less it is here. A remake of the old NES game, this version of Blaster Master lives up to it’s new subtitle with tighter controls, better graphics and remixed tunes. Now if we can just get some Cave Story over here – we’d be sweet.

Ant Nation (Konami – 700 Points)

The Wii’s first Ant Farm simulator is here, we know you’ve been hanging out for this one. Seriously though it’s not bad according to reviews from the US, where it was release over a year ago.

DSiWare

Face Pilot: Fly With Your Nintendo DSi Camera! (Nintendo- 500 Points)

If you hadn’t heard of this one before I wouldn’t blame you, it’s another Nintendo game straight out of the blue. Last week’s camera related game from Nintendo got pulled so to make amends they’re back with another one. This one works a little better from what we have played of it so far. You take a photo of your face and then use the camera head tracking to fly up, down, left and right. Of course the lighting around you might affect it for good or bad but it worked pretty well for me.

Combat of Giants: Mutant Insects – Revenge (Ubisoft – 800 Points)

The next game in the Combat of Giants series, this time with Giant Mutant Insects. Could be fun, let us know.
