The hit iPhone game from Aussie developer Firemint highlights quite a packed update

Just before we get to the rest, unsurprisingly there arent any Virtual Console games this week.

Three new games are available on WiiWare, with the fifth and final episode of the Tales of Monkey Island being the only very interesting one. Daniel reviewed this last year and thought it to be a great close for the series. As usual, it will set you back 1000 points. The port of the second Phoenix Wright title, Justice for All, also made its way today for 1000 point, but apparently the shoddy port job of the first game remains the same for this one. Last is Brain Cadets, which was originally released as Drill Sergeant Mindstrong in the US. As the name suggests, its a collection of mind-focused minigames set in a boot camp. If you really like you Brain Training, the game might be worth your 1000 points, otherwise its safe to avoid.

DSiWare sees the most games with four games for 500 points each, although we miss out on one here. Flight Control, developed by Melbourne based Firemint, would have to be the most prominent out of the bunch. The game has been been a hit on the iPhone/iPod Touch platform, selling over 2 million copies. The simple gameplay seems easy, but the difficulty ramps up quickly as youre tasked with landing planes at 5 very busy airports. The DSiWare version has a new map, too, which is dubbed Windy; the runways will close and open depending on the weather, adding another level of craziness. The DSiWare version also has multiplayer, but youll need a friend with the game to enjoy it. Leaderboards, however, didnt make the cut, but the value in the core game is still amazing.

Next up is Flips: Terror in Cubicle Four, a downloadable version of the childrens book Terror in Cubicle Four from the Too Ghoul for School series. Its always great to see more literary content for the DSi, so if youve got a child who might like a creepy story then its certainly worth a look. Downtown Texas Holdem completes the new DSiWare games for us, but weve probably all had enough of the poker variant on DSiWare/WiiWare. The game that didnt make it to us was Puzzle to Go: Wildlife, which seems to be the first real puzzle game for the service. Oh well.
