On the back of the amazing Flipnote Studio last week, this week’s update will be a feast of downloadable titles and both DSi and Wii owners will be able to bask in the ambience. One more then we reported earlier in the week!
WiiWare
Arkanoid Plus!
Another remake of a classic arcade game. Arkanoid Plus! as the name suggests is a remake of the other ball against bat bouncing game. You know how it plays, smash all the blocks at the top of the playfield all with a new coat of paint. 800 Points for this one.
Bit.Trip.Core
Bit.Trip.Core is a continuation of the BIT.TRIP series that mixes a retro feel with crazy visuals and a great soundtrack. Shooting out from the middle of the screen you’ll have to take down evil pixels hell-bent on taking over the world in each direction.
Virtual Console
Pilotwings – SNES
Take the skies with a plane, hang glider, gyrocopter, rocket pack or just fall out of it with skydiving. Pilotwings is the Mode 7 classic that showed off just what the SNES could do in regards to 3D effects. A classic, we hope the N64 version isn’t too far away either.
DSi Ware
Mario vs Donkey: Mini’s March
First revealed back at the E3 and released a month or so ago in the US as Mario Vs Donkey: Mini’s March Again is finally hitting Aussie and European DSi’s. More like the Lemmings games this time around, you’ll have to move and modify the level around to get the Minis to their goal. Completely different premise this time around, compared to Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2. You’ll be able to create levels and share them online as well. Pricing hasn’t been revealed for us yet.
Pop+ Solo
Brought to you by Australian developer, Nnooo, Pop+ Solo involves the player bursting flows of gradually growing bubbles to score points against the time limit. Chaining together bubbles of the same colour triggers power-ups and gains bonus points, adding more time to the clock. Previously released on WiiWare, this new version of DSi Ware adds a host of new features.
Hands on events coming before launch.
Mario Kart 9, 10? We don't know.
