Its a great week this week- we may be missing out on a WiiWare title but theres a Virtual Console game and enough DSiWare to keep you all happy.
The sole Virtual Console title this week is the original Final Fantasy from the NES, selling at an inflated 600 points. Now could be the time have a little Final Fantasy joke about how there are now 13 titles and when is the real final one coming, but we’re above that. WiiWare releases this week include… never mind.
The good news this week is for DSiWare, and this weeks standout title is Metal Torrent. Developed by Arika (yeah, the Endless Ocean guys), Metal Torrent is a shoot-em-up that’s a bit different but a tonne of fun to play. There are even online leaderboards for you to parade about on. Metal Torrent is not only fun to play but it looks quite good too and must surely push the DSis hardware, as some levels really slow to a crawl. There are litterly thousands of things flying around on screen. Metal Torrent comes at the attractive price of only 500 points.
Second title this week is for the musically creative people out there. Rytmik is a music generation tool much like the KORG title. Although for a hefty 800 points, you’d want to be into the old tunes to take a dip.
Last but not least is Flips: Silent Buy Deadly. Yes it’s a fart simulator. No really, it’s another interactive book for the kiddies from EA.
Finally, Sabarasa’s ‘Save the Turtles’ hit the store midweek after originally missing its originally intended release a few weeks ago. It’s up there now, however, for 500 points.
