This week we mainly catch up with the US service, but there are a couple of new items

Just the one release this week, but at least its an interesting one; the original arcade release of Shinobi has hit the service for 800 Points. The game follows a ninja named Joe Musashi who is trying to stop an evil organisation that has been kidnapping children, and has you getting the bad guys with throwing stars, melee attacks, ninja magic, and others gained through power-ups. If you liked the Revenge of Shinobi and Return of the Ninja Master (the second and third games in the series) and want to see how it all started, then this is certainly worth a shot.

Both releases have been out in a while, although one has been out for considerably longer. Protöthea at 1000 points was first made available well over a year ago in the US. The WiiWare version is actually a port by Ubisoft of a 4 year old PC game. Its a fairly standard shoot em up game, with fairly average reviews, so you might want to hold back on this one.

Also making it here is PictureBook Games: A Pop-Up Adventure, a board game style party title developed by Nintendo for 800 points. It appears to be aimed very much at a younger audience, though, so you may want to check up on it further before you download.

Today we received the last entry of the A Little Bit of… Dr Kawashima’s Brain Training, Arts Edition, for 800 points. The challenges in this are based on words, pictures, and music, and are designed to be played for just a little bit each day. A Germ Buster minigame is also included, along with Themes Mode, which allows you to practice acting and artwork using the DSis camera, microphone, and touch screen.

Last this week is a stripped down Bronze edition of the recently released Combat of Giants: Dragons. You play the last heir of the noble dragons as you go about seeking revenge against the rogue dragons of the land. You can explore the world with your customisable dragon and fight in real time against others, utilising special gems that assist your powers. Up to four people can battle it out in configurable duels and tournaments. The game will set you back 800 points.
