Nintendo Download Update: A Dictionary

The only thing you can download today? A Dictionary. That Contra Rebirth thing? Well, were not worthy enough to get that

While our PAL’s (get it?) in Europe are getting both Contra Rebirth and the 6 in 1 Dictionary with Camera Function, we Aussies are only worthy enough to get the Dictionary. Contra Rebirth, as the name suggests, is a new Contra title in the style of the old games on the SNES and would have fetched 1000 points.

However, while we’re short changed on both the WiiWare and Virtual Console front, we do get a 6 in 1 Dictionary. Yeah it’s not Contra, but it could still prove useful to some people. The Dictionary allows you look up words in English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Japanese. You can also translate words from one language to another. The camera function allows you take photos of words to look them up, but with the camera the DSi’s got we don’t hold up much hope it will be that good. It’s 800 points too, which may be off putting- especially with the free web browser in the system which could you access websites that essentially do the same thing.
