Nintendo will be partnering up with a US sleep therapy company to develop a new non-wearable sleep tracker, President Satoru Iwata announced.

Adding on to their lineup of health-conscious games and peripherals, Nintendo are developing a little bedside device to assist you with your fatigue and sleep problems, driven by their newly formed healthcare division. Iwata said:

“By using our know-how in gaming… to analyse sleep and fatigue, we can create something fun.”

There is no release date on the device as of writing, but expect to see more from the health side of things from Nintendo in the near future.
