Still thinking about using it for marketing however.
Nintendo has denied reports from earlier today made by Nikkei that it intends to release ‘mini-games’ on smartphones.
Speaking to Engadget, a Nintendo spokesperson has confirmed that the report from Nikkei does contain some information that Satoru Iwata has previously said in relation to using smartphones for marketing.
However Nintendo will not be releasing ‘mini-games’ on smartphones says the statement. Here’s the full quote;
Nikkei’s article contains information previously stated by Mr Iwata during past press conferences, including statements which relate to Nintendo’s willingness to make use of smart devices to promote our products.
However during such past announcements Mr Iwata has also stated that Nintendo’s intention is not to make Nintendo software available on smart devices and as such, we can confirm that there are no plans to offer minigames on smartphone devices.
It’s not quite clear which branch of Nintendo this statement comes from as Engadget doesn’t say. Not every Nintendo branch may be in the loop with latest happenings at Nintendo HQ in Japan, years ago Nintendo UK denied there being a Nintendo DS Lite and two days later it was announced.
Moral of this story? Wait until the end of the week and all will be revealed.
Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town, Rune Factory 5, Rune Factory 4 Special, West…

Until you see the price, at least.
Put a pin in it.
