Nintendo comments on Wii U specs, says ‘experience of playing’ more important

It worked for the Wii, could it work again, this isn't 2006.

In the past two weeks there has been many a rumour about the technical specs of the Wii U. We’ve had it more powerful, less power, just as powerful as the current HD consoles and more. Even with the system in developers hands we can’t get a straight answer or at least a consistent answer out of anyone. Now in an effort to perhaps put some things to rest Nintendo of America has commented on the technical specs of the console, but it’s not the answer many are looking for.
We do not focus on technology specs. We understand that people like to dissect graphics and processing power, but the experience of playing will always be more important than raw numbers.
Sound familiar? This is essentially the same line that Nintendo used when people asked about the tech specs of the Wii. So what can you gather from this? Just about as much as all the other rumours and news, not much. You’ll have to wait until possibly the E3 to find out if the graphical prowess of the Wii U is up to your standard.
