Like a baby...
Here’s one out of the blue! Nintendo has just announced the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System, a pocket sized and NES shaped device with 30 built in games.
The tiny NES will be launched in Australia on November 10th this year and November 11th in Europe. It will carry an SRP $99.95 add comes with a controller, one HDMI cable and a USB cable.
While it does come with a USB cable to power it, you’re going to have to find the source of that power yourself as there’s no AC adapter included. Some TVs or laptops might work, but Nintendo suggests the use of an AC adapter which plugs into the wall.
You could use your phone charger for example, but it’s still a little annoying ones not included.
The new (old) controllers will connect to Wii Remote accessory ports, which also allows players to use their existing Wii Classic Controllers with the 30 included games. These new NES controllers will also be compatible with Wii Remotes to be used with Wii & Wii U Virtual Console titles. Extra controllers will be sold separately for $19.95AU.
All of the games included, which are listed below, include save states so you don’t have to worry about losing your progress or writing down passwords.
