In a new interview with Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, Iwata has spoken about a remaining a humble company, keeping up its momentum even though things are going well now. I believe my most important role right now is to prevent Nintendo from being in a company where people say, Oh, Nintendo is arrogant, Nintendo has let its guard down. Also Iwata spoke of the companies luck that gaming audiences have accepted the Wii and DS and so much so that it exceeded even its own expectations. More Inside
Third parties also were brought up. The right balance between first and third parties must be found. I believe that third party publishers kind of look at the software titles that are being sold on Nintendo and they don’t want Nintendo to have more than one-third, otherwise, Nintendo will be too strong. They want to have two-thirds of what’s being sold on the platform,”” said Iwata.

However Iwata says its Nintendo responsibility to get the hardware off to a good start otherwise there is no momentum and third parties do not want to jump onto the console. Head to Newsweek for the full interview and more insights from Iwata
